Arizona's Valladares wins Player of the Week award
It's the 1st time that the American League Player of 
the Week award goes to New York (A)'s catcher <a href=p1668.html>Alexander 
Hogsett</a>. Alexander was on fire, hitting .579 with 
3 HR and 9 RBI. He got at least one hit each game this 
week and is on a 8 game hitting streak right now. He 
has hit 4 bombs while batting .333 this season. His 
19 hits and 1 walks add up to a .361 on-base percentage. 
The National League's best player of the week was Arizona's 
<a href=p1990.html>Jae Valladares</a>, who wins the 
award for the 4th time in his career. Valladares helped 
his team with an average of .538 and 16 RBI in 26 at 
bats. Jae managed to drive in at least one run in every 
game he played this week. He now has homered in 4 consecutive 
games as well!
